HBO Renews Treme for Season 3

HBO's acclaimed drama Tremehas been renewed for a third season, TVGuide.com has confirmed.

Treme, from David Simon and Eric Overmyer, centers on the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina as the residents try to rebuild their lives and culture.

The series averages around 1 million viewers on Sunday nights. Season 2, which premiered April 24, premiere brought in only 605,000 viewers.
