A special announcement after a special episode
Life, as they say, often imitates art, and there was no greater example of that in the TV world this week than when Grey's Anatomy surgeon Levi Schmitt kissed a guy for the first time -- and then the actor who plays him, Jake Borelli, came out too via Instagram. Aw!

In Thursday's episode ,"Flowers Grow Out of My Grave," Levi became half of Grey's first ever-romance between two dudes when Levi and Nico Kim (Alex Landi) smooched in the hallway after weeks of pent-up thirst and missed opportunities. Levi then revealed this was the first time he kissed a boy and liked it -- a moment so big and inspiring for Borelli that it gave him the courage to open up about his real self too.
"As a gay guy myself," he posted on IG, "tonight's episode was so special to me. This is exactly the kind of story I craved as a young gay kid growing up in Ohio, and it blows my mind that I'm able to bring life to Dr. Levi Schmitt as he begins to grapple with his own sexuality this season on Grey's Anatomy."
Well done, both of you.
