So, you've watched 'em all. You've gone through just about everything Paramount+ has to offer. You even upgraded to Paramount+ Premium to watch even more. You tackled HBO Max in a weekend. It's time for something new. Something you haven't touched quite yet. Luckily, if you're rocking with an Amazon Prime membership, consider this your green light to try something fresh. Why? STARZ offers a sweet free trial through Prime Video Channels, and it's basically your personal golden ticket to a week-long binge-fest.

Outlander
STARZGetting in on this is ridiculously simple. You just fire up your Prime Video app, give a little scroll over to the "Subscriptions" section, and there you'll find STARZ waiting to welcome you. We're talking a full seven-day free trial here, no catch, no hoops to jump through. The best part? You don't have to go through the whole song and dance of creating a brand-new account or trying to remember some obscure password you made up three years ago. It's all baked right into your existing Prime setup, which means way less friction and way more time actually watching something awesome.
Once that free week is over, if you're hooked on the content you've been watching, STARZ is just $10.99/month added to your Prime bill. Sure, you could just sign up for STARZ directly without using Prime Video, but keeping it all bundled under the same umbrella is a little easier. Less apps on the home screen? That's a win for us.

STARZ is packed with fantastic shows, from epic historical sagas that'll transport you to a different century to modern dramas that'll keep you guessing until the credits roll. We've rounded up five of the best STARZ shows that are just perfect for a quick, satisfying binge during your trial. Get ready to hit play.

Outlander
STARZAlright, so if you've assumed Outlander is just another buttoned-up historical drama, you're not alone, but you're also way off. It's chaotic, it's steamy, and it's time-travel-y goodness that starts by throwing a WWII nurse through some ancient rocks and landing her in 1743 Scotland. Life, right? Suddenly, she's knee-deep in bizarre politics, some serious sword fights, and somehow, because of course, a slow-burn romance with a very intense Highlander who, technically, is... over a hundred years older than her. Go figure.
It sounds a little jarring because it is, but that's the magic of this series. One minute you're watching a rebellion take shape, and the next you're ugly crying over a romance scene you didn't expect to hit you in the chest like that. It's beautifully shot, emotionally sharp, and nowhere near afraid to get dark or tender. Even if castles and kilts aren't usually your thing, give it two episodes.

BMF
STARZOkay, so you've seen a million crime dramas, right? Right. Almost too many. If you're ready for one that hits different because it's plucked straight from the history books (the gritty, often untold ones) then you need to queue up BMF. This isn't some made-up tale of kingpins, either. This is the raw, undeniable story of the Flenory brothers, Demetrius "Big Meech" Flenory and Terry "Southwest T" Flenory. These two didn't just build a notorious drug empire out of Detroit. Nope. They forged one of the most infamous crime families in American history, and this series lays it all out.
This one's inspired by a true story, and Black stories (especially historical ones) are beyond important to tell, often they get erased from history completely. BMF doesn't just show you the rise and fall, either, it digs into the family dynamics, the loyalty, the betrayals, and the sheer ambition that drove Meech and Terry. The show absolutely delivers on that raw, authentic vibe, with incredible performances and a narrative that moves at a breakneck pace. Oh, and it's produced by 50 Cent. That alone should have your eyes glued.

The Serpent Queen
STARZIf you're into historical dramas that trade stuffiness for sharp wit and a dark edge, you absolutely need to check out The Serpent Queen. This one started back in 2022 and quickly became a pretty recent hit, pulling you into the incredible, often brutal, life of Catherine de' Medici. Forget everything you think you know about old queens, this show is a masterclass in cunning and survival, making for a dark but alluring watch.
And while, yes, it was cancelled after its second season (BOO!), that absolutely doesn't mean it's not quality TV worth picking up on. In fact, for a binge, it's kind of perfect: you get a complete, wild story arc, no endless cliffhangers here. The show follows Catherine's journey from an orphaned outsider to one of France's most ruthless rulers, all told from her own deliciously cynical point of view.

Black Sails
STARZForget sanitized swashbucklers. Black Sails is a brutal one with a dive into the real, dangerous world of Golden Age Piracy. This gem wrapped up in 2017, but trust us, four seasons of straight-up storyline are waiting. It's actually a prequel to Treasure Island, peeling back the layers on legends like Captain Flint and Long John Silver.
It's relentlessly compelling and shocking with twists that land, keeping you deeply invested. Plus, it's pretty queer, weaving in complex, meaningful relationships. Expect cinematic battles, sharp dialogue, and characters as morally gray as the pirate code itself. You'll be absolutely hooked. Hah, get it?

Power
STARZNow, if Power hasn't crossed your radar yet, consider this your sign. This isn't just another gritty crime drama, it's a full-on rollercoaster of ambition, deception, and consequences that never seem to let anyone off easy. At the center is Ghost, a drug dealer with dreams of going legit through his upscale nightclub, but as you'd expect, walking away from that life isn't exactly a clean break.
The show builds a gnarly sense of tension, then detonates it. Crushingly. Every episode brings yet another betrayal, another mess to clean up, another reason to yell at your screen. And somehow, it only gets more layered the deeper you go. Power spins a world where every choice has weight, every alliance has a cost, and nobody's ever safe. And with all the spinoffs keeping the universe alive, there's no shortage of drama to dive into. Honestly, once you're in, you're fully in.
