The Apatow-producedcomedies helped launch the careers of Jay Baruchel (Tropic Thunder), Jason Segel (How I Met Your Mother), Jenna Fischer (The Office), James Franco (Pineapple Express), Linda Cardellini (ER) and Seth Rogen (Knocked Up), among others.

Apatow has gone on to direct and produce such films as The 40 Year Old Virgin, Funny People, Knocked Up, Superbad and Forgetting Sarah Marshall.

"These acquisitions help further solidify IFC as the destination for programming that shares an off-kilter sensibility with its audience, particularly within the comedy genre," said Jennifer Caserta, executive vice president and general manager of IFC.

IFC has already revived shows such as Arrested Development, Monty Python's Flying CircusandThe Whitest Kids U' Know.
