Are Gabriel and Emily going to be endgame?

Ashley Park and Lily Collins, Emily In Paris
Caroline Dubois/Netflix[Warning: The following contains spoilers for Emily in Paris Season 5. Read at your own risk!]
When in Rome, it makes perfect sense to date the heir of a fashion empire and say yes to your on-again-off-again boyfriend when he proposes in a gondola. But Emily Cooper (Lily Collins) and Mindy Chen (Ashley Park) end Emily in Paris Season 6 back in the French capital, and those romantic Italian decisions don't hold up as well in the City of Lights.
Mindy spent the first half of Season 6 secretly hooking up with Alfie (Lucien Laviscount), until Emily discovered the affair and flipped out. She wasn't jealous or angry about her best friend and her ex getting together, she was angry they both lied to her about it. But the fight was enough to send Mindy back into Nicholas' (Paul Forman) arms. He was sorry about betraying her at the end of Season 4 and decided to start his own business venture, which freed him from his controlling family. That seemingly removed all the obstacles that were in the way of them being together, so when he popped the question after his and Marcello's (Eugenio Franceschini) fashion show, Mindy gave in to the moment and said yes.
"You go in a gondola with your best friend in a romantic setting, in a beautiful dress, and you get proposed to with a big, nice ring and see if you say no," Park said, defending Mindy's decision to TV Guide. However, once Emily and Mindy returned to Paris and ran into Alfie, Mindy couldn't hide that she still had lingering feelings for the Brit.
More on Netflix:
"I think [Mindy] has learned this year that maybe acting on instinct isn't always what's in her best interest, and she also should listen to these other feelings," Collins also offered in support. "Which is really interesting at the end for Emily to be the one that's saying, 'Oh, Mindy,' usually it's the other way around."
Emily may be more "stable" than Mindy in the romance department by the end of the season, but that doesn't mean she has it all figured out. She and Marcello break up in the season finale when they realize they want different things for their future, and Emily isn't ready to leave Paris permanently.
"Emily is so honest about her choice to the person that she's making that choice to," Collins said. "I think it's a beautiful scene between Marcello and Emily, where nothing is being hidden. It's a super hard conversation they have. It gets emotional. They say goodbye, and she goes back to work. Everyone expects her to take the day off, [but she's fine]."

Lucas Bravo, Emily in Paris
NetflixWork will be a big mess for our girl if Emily in Paris returns for Season 6, with Princess Jane (Minnie Driver) taking up a leadership role at Agence Grateau. That will be her big focus in the next season, according to Collins, but that's because she doesn't know that Gabriel (Lucas Bravo), after working as a private chef on a yacht for a few months, seems ready to get serious with his upstairs neighbor wants her to meet him in Greece, according to the postcard that we saw Gabriel send in the final seconds of the season.
"Emily has no idea that Gabriel even sent that postcard. She is rested with the idea that he's going to do his thing, and she's OK with that," Collins explained. "I am excited by the opportunity that if we get a Season 6, we go to Greece and plan Mindy's bachelorette."

However, she's not making any bets that Emily is ready to dive back into bed with Gabriel. She's leaving that up to the writers.
"If Gabriel plays into it, great," she continued. "I have no idea, but I don't think in terms of endgame for the character. I have no idea what Darren and the writers will create because they've created crazy storylines we had no expectations of."
Both girls have some major decisions to make when it comes to their romantic and professional lives, but this season made it clear that they will always have each other. It seems like they are going to need that support to clean up the mess from these big cliffhangers, but we agree with Lily. Let's see them clean it up with a good time in Greece.
