With Elisha Cuthbert's racy teen comedy The Girl Next Door heading to DVD next week, what better time to throw a bunch of X-rated questions at the embattled 24 star?TV Guide Online: Did you have any reservations about playing an adult-film starlet in Girl Next Door?Elisha Cuthbert: Sure, but the script had me laughing out loud. I knew it would be a bit controversial, but my main concern was that women enjoyed the film — I knew we already had the guys. TVGO: Did you meet any people in the adult industry?Cuthbert: I met a few porn stars while making the movie and, I must say, I was surprised by how strong-willed the women were. Cuthbert: I met a few porn stars while making the movie and, I must say, I was surprised by how strong-willed the women were. I found most of them to be very normal, together and business-minded. I tried to convey that with my character.
TVGO: What about the steamy scenes?
Cuthbert: When I was filming them, it was just the camera operator and me. I would be nervous in the moments leading up to them, but while you're doing it that all goes away. It's funny, [costar] Emile Hirsch and I weren't even in the same room for the final love scene. I ended up making love to a wooden box — that is really sick. [Laughs]
TVGO: You just got engaged to Justin Timberlake's personal assistant. Will Mr. Timberlake be singing at your wedding?
Cuthbert: I don't know — I think he does enough singing on tour. We don't have a date set, but let's just say it's not right around the corner.
TVGO: What is around the corner?
Cuthbert: [A remake of] The House of Wax. I haven't seen the original [from 1953], but now that we are done shooting I want to give it a look. I'm also getting ready to do an indie film with Thora Birch. All I can say about that is it's dark and very disturbing.
