The driver who seriously injured horrormeister Stephen King in an accident last year was found dead in his Fryeburg, ME, mobile home on Friday, according to AP. Bryan Edwin Smith, 43, had not been seen or heard from for about three days when his brother asked police to check in on him. Police said there was no sign of violence or foul play, adding that Smith was on a variety of medications for his health. Smith pleaded guilty in January to a misdemeanor driving-to-endanger charge in the case of King, who is still recovering from his injuries. —Michael Ausiello, Rich Brown and Eddie Roche
