Double Shot at Love Star in Coma After Car Accident

A Double Shot at Love star Erica "Rikki" Mongeon was in a medically induced coma Wednesday after a car accident in Bakersfield, Calif., her manager, Rick Brown, told TVGuide.com.

Rikki was placed in a medically induced coma after bumping her head during the accident, according to Brown. Doctors found blood on her brain and are hoping to bring her out of the coma Friday, once she is stabilized.

Mongeon and her twin sister and Double Shot co-star, Victoria "Vikki" Mongeon, 29, were pulling over to the side of the road after hitting a spare tire when their car was clipped by a semitruck, according to Brown.

It's unknown how many passengers were in the vehicle at the time of the crash but, Brown said, there were no other serious injuries from the crash. Rikki went to the hospital for her injuries shortly after the accident as a preventive measure.

Brown said Vikki is upbeat about her sister's recovery. A spin-off of MTV's successful dating show A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila, A Double Shot at Love ran on the channel in 2008.

Calls to the Bakerfield Police Department were not returned.
