Needless to say, emotions were running high
Donald Trump will be the new president of the United States.
Even though Hillary Clinton went into election night with a little more than a 3 percent advantage in national polls, the former Apprentice host was able to pick up several key swing states.
Things started to look dark for Clinton after the initial poll closings, when swing states like Virginia and Pennsylvania didn't come in with the expected victory margin that the former secretary of state was hoping for, though she ultimately won Virginia. In the end, Trump was able to win the necessary 270 electoral votes to become the president-elect after he took Florida, Ohio, North Carolina and Wisconsin. The change in tide of the election caused the Canadian immigration website to crash early Tuesday evening.

One thing I do not want to watch right now-- comedy about any of this. That's how terrifying and disappointing this is.
