See what he tweeted
David Lynch is the king of cryptic messages, and this is no exception!
On Friday night, he tweeted an enigmatic post about the return of Twin Peaks.
Twin Peaks cast begs David Lynch to come back
Here's his entire message:
"Dear Twitter Friends, the rumors are not what they seem ..... It is !!! Happening again. #TwinPeaks returns on @SHO_Network"
Dear Twitter Friends, the rumors are not what they seem ..... It is !!!
Happening again. #TwinPeaks returns on @SHO_Network
Which rumor? "It is"... what? What do the mid-sentence exclamation points mean? Trying to understand Lynch's tweets is like trying to figure out the mystery of the Sphinx.
Fortunately, Showtime filled us in:
#TwinPeaks pre-production starts now!! Every episode will be directed by @David_Lynch! #Showtime #damngoodcoffee
It's happening again!! #Showtime will be serving up some #damngoodcoffee! #TwinPeaks returns with @DAVID_LYNCH & @mfrost11.
So now we know: Lynch is back in for Twin Peaks, and he will direct every episode. Whew!
Last month, the director shocked fans by dropping out of the revival, reportedly over money issues. He had hinted at the development on Twitter in March.
Even after he left the project, it was never in question whether or not Twin Peaks would come back -- it was just a matter of who would direct. The cast even made a video begging for his return. And it seems like it worked!
This development is great news -- fans were certainly worried about what a Lynch-less Peaks would look like. Now, thankfully, they don't have to.Are you going to tune in for the new episodes?
