Jason Jones is going from late night for prime time: The Daily Show with Jon Stewart correspondent has landed the lead role in an ABC pilot titled How to Be a Better American, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The comedy focuses on a father (Jones) who drags his reluctant family on his journey to become a better person.

Daily Show couple cooks up a CBS pilot

Jones, who wrote a pilot for CBS last season with his wife and fellow Daily Show correspondent, Samantha Bee, joins Steve Carell, Ed Helms, Rob Corddry and Rob Riggle as Daily Show alums who have headed to prime time.
