When Jaclyn Smith starred on Charlie's Angels, her character, Kelly Garrett, "was kidnapped and had heroin injected into my toes," she remembers. Jaclyn gets nabbed again on the March 21 episode of CBS' CSI when the ageless beauty guests as Hodges' long-mentioned but never-seen mother, Olivia.
On set, I was surprised to see just how much the lighthearted story line plays like a classic Angels episode. To get his meddlesome mama off his back, Hodges (Wallace Langham) claims he's engaged to nemesis Morgan (Elisabeth Harnois). This leads mother and son to a jewelry store to shop for engagement rings — where they are tied up by robbers and tossed into the back of an ambulance.
"There are guns, kidnapping, car chases and a police rescue," says Wallace. "I'm stuck in a '70s TV show!"
