CBS has ordered five more episodes of the medical drama, the network announced on Friday. The addition brings the show's first season to a total of 18 episodes.
Code Black follows the emergency room action at Angel's Memorial Hospital and stars Marcia Gay Harden, Raza Jeffrey, Luis Guzman, Bonnie Somerville, Benjamin Hollingsworth, Harry M. Ford and Melanie Kannokada.
CBS previously ordered full seasons of its other new shows Life in Pieces and Limitless.
