Why Prudence Is the Best Part of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina

You know it's true

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina not only introduced us to a darker version of the magical Archie comics character we grew up with, but also gifted us with our new favorite witch of the modern age: Prudence. We are officially obsessed with her wit, her enthusiasm for the dark arts and her overall HBIC attitude. The Dark Lord is making a lot of fuss over Sabrina (Kiernan Shipka) when a natural queen is already ready to serve.

Prudence, played by Tati Gabrielle, is magnetic from the second she steps on the screen, but by Episode 7, "Save It for the Feast," we worshipped her as devotedly as she worships the Dark Lord. This is a witch that knows what she wants and isn't afraid to do whatever it takes to get it. She's not here for your judgement, patriarchal crap or holier-than-thou attitude.

Even though she's introduced in the series as a bully, by the end of Season 1 we understand Prudence to be a strong, resilient and determined witch who, let's face it, knows how to have a much better time than Sabrina does. Still not convinced? Fine, here are seven more reasons to convince you to join the Church of Prudence already.

1. She's a natural leader

There's no question that Prudence is the leader of her sister pack. She decides what they will and won't participate in, which pranks are too much and which causes are worth their time. If you want to know what happens when you step out of line of her rule, just ask Agatha (Adeline Rudolph).

2. She's not afraid to call out the patriarchy, even when its the Dark Lord

There may be no more devoted disciple of the Dark Lord than Prudence, but even she can see the double standards created in following him. Sabrina wants freedom and power, and Prudence explains Satan will never let her have her cake and eat it too because the idea of a woman having both attributes terrifies him. That takes balls to call out, especially when it comes to the Devil.

3. We love how she uses boys as her play things for fun...

... and for pleasure

Prudence is hot and she knows it. She knows that she can make boys, especially mortal ones, eat out of her hands whether its to do her bidding, make a fool of them, or get her sexual kicks. It's 2018 and boys are no longer the only ones who get to be players, be good at it and be proud. Prudence could school all of them and we're here for every second of it.

4. She knows how to enjoy the finer things in life

If you could force your nemesis to wait on you hand and foot for an entire week, what would you have them do? Feel assured there's a lot more people that are going for buttermilk baths and macaroons because Prudence understands luxury. This just looks heavenly.

5. She calls Sabrina out on her hypocrisy

Sabrina is often the moral center of Chilling Adventures, but she's not perfect and sometimes her bubble of self-righteousness needs to be popped. Prudence astutely points out that Sabrina looks down on her faith in the Dark Lord, but expects everyone to respect Sabrina's faith in Harvey and her mortal friends. Understanding is a two way street and Prudence stepping to Sabrina to make her see that was straight up iconic.

6. Revenge is her favorite pasttime

Why wouldn't you want to bow down to someone who looks that good on a throne? Hail Prudence!
