The charismatic actor, who spent seven seasons on CBS as streetwise FBI agent Danny Taylor on Without a Trace, resurfaced on the network as CIA operative Ray Sanchez — or "CI-Ray," as DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly) dubbed him. Ostensibly there to declare his love for girlfriend Ziva (Cote de Pablo), Ray turned out to be the Company's liaison on a serial-killer case, headed up a bit too conveniently by Tony's new squeeze, Special Agent E.J. Barrett (Brothers & Sisters' too-glamorous Sarah Jane Morris).Despite the contrived plotline, Murciano brought a sense of both humor and menace to his scenes, especially a men's room showdown with DiNozzo. He dodged a bullet by getting dropped from the cast of ABC's midseason washout Off the Map. If CBS is smart, they'll snap up Murciano for a new series pronto. Were you happy to see Enrique Murciano on NCIS?
