The terrifyingly talented character actor may have seen his villainous Dale Lawson killed off in Burn Notice's midseason opener, but he's surviving on AMC's shocker (so far) as Merle Dixon, a vicious racist who was handcuffed to a pipe on a rooftop while brain-eating zombies closed in on him — and apparently escaped by cutting off his own hand. And you thought James Franco had it tough in 127 Hours!
Rooker's no stranger to horror: He made his chilling big-screen debut in the title role of 1986's Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer, and to quote his imdb.com biography, "much of his career has been spent playing brutes, villains and psychopaths." But Dixon may be his most frightening creation yet. Give that man a hand!
Do you think Michael Rooker's killing it on The Walking Dead?
