CBS Isn't Crazy for Sybil or Mary-Louise Parker

In a somewhat odd move, CBS is burning off two original movies on Saturday nights over the next three weeks. Vinegar Hill, based on an Oprah Book Club selection (shop Amazon) and starring Mary-Louise Parker and Tom Skerritt, will air May 24, while a new adaptation of Sybil, starring Tammy Blanchard (in the title role) and Jessica Lange (as her shrink), gets buried on June 7. Variety explains that both projects are the victims of a regime change at the Eye and a subsequent shift away from Sunday-night movie broadcasts. Vinegar Hill, for what it's worth, will sneak under the wire for Emmy consideration (because you know M-LP always brings it). — MWMRelated:• Tammy Blanchard Has Personality (Lots of 'Em!)
