CBS's 2019-2020 Fall TV Lineup: What You Need to Know

Get the latest on CBS's new and returning shows

CBS's fall 2019 lineup has a black hole at its center: The Big Bang Theoryis gone. The megahit comedy is wrapping up after 12 seasons. The good news for Big Bang fans is that its spin-off, Young Sheldon, is keeping the franchise alive in character, if not exactly in spirit, as it enters Season 3.

And other Eye Network institutions are sticking around, with NCIS returning for Season 17, along with its Los Angeles and New Orleans spin-offs; Blue Bloods and Hawaii Five-0 returning for tenth seasons; and Criminal Minds coming back for a fifteenth and final season. Mom is now CBS's longest-running comedy on air, entering its seventh season and already picked up for an eighth. Man With a Plan will be back for Season 4. Dramas Bull, SEAL Team, S.W.A.T., and MacGyver will all be back, too. Madam Secretarywill return as well with an abbreviated sixth and final season.

The 2018-19 freshmen that are getting second seasons are FBI, God Friended Me, Magnum P.I., and Cedric the Entertainer's comedy series The Neighborhood. FBI is also getting a spin-off called Most Wanted as CBS tries to build its own Dick Wolf universe in the vein of the super-producer's other franchises, Law & Order and One Chicago, which air on NBC.

Of course, not all the news out of CBS was good news. The network has canceled Murphy Brown, Fam, Happy Together, and Life in Pieces.

Below you'll find all of the news related to CBS's 2019-2020 schedule, and there's much more to come. For more information, check out everything you need to know about ABC, NBC, Fox, and The CW's fall lineups here.
