The new year brings news of new TV seasons. January's biggest announcement was that CBS is bringing back 10 shows, including Matlock, Elsbeth, and the NCISes, among other (clearly) well-loved series. The Amazing Race will also return for another season, and of course Survivor has been renewed for Season 51 ahead of its big Season 50 premiere. Elsewhere, Apple's Shrinking will grow with a fourth season, HBO's It's Florida, Man nabbed a third season, Netflix's The Lincoln Lawyer is driving toward a fifth season, and the second most popular hockey show on TV right now, Shoresy, will return for a sixth season on Hulu.
But a pair of Netflix series aren't so lucky: The Western drama The Abandons and the comedy The Vince Staples Show have each been canceled, marking the first major TV cancellations of 2026.
