TLC is on the hunt for the next Cake Boss with a new competition series to be hosted by the chef himself, Buddy Valastro.
The untitled spinoff will pit 10 rising cake makers against each other to find out who has the right ingredients to follow in Valastro's footsteps. The winner of the eight-episode show will walk away with an apprenticeship at Cake Boss' Carlo's Bakery in Hoboken, N.J.
Casting for the show is beginning immediately, with shooting expected to start in September.
It's scheduled to premiere in December.
