Filmmaker John Singleton is in final talks to write and direct Baby Blue, a film that reportedly will harken back to his Boyz N the Hood days, Variety reports. The project — budgeted at $15 million — revolves around a young black father who finally begins to accept responsibility for his life. Singleton most recently directed Samuel L. Jackson in Shaft.
