CBS has ordered a presentation pilot from the team behind BoratandBruno, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Penned by Borat, Bruno and Da Ali G Show writer Ant Hines, the comedy will revolve around a British low-life man (Paul Kaye) who moves to Los Angeles to reconnect with his teen daughter, who's a celebrity.
CBS picks up pilots from TV vets
Borat and Bruno director Larry Charles will helm the project. His TV credits include Seinfeld, Mad About You and Entourage.Hines and Charles will also executive-produce the show alongside Mitch Hurwitz (Arrested Development) and Two and a Half Men producers Eric Tannenbaum and Kim Tannenbaum.
