There's a new captain coming to Brooklyn Nine-Nine.

Bill Hader is joining the cast of the Fox comedy and will replace Captain Holt (Andre Braugher) as the precinct captain in charge of Jake (Andy Samberg) & Co., TVGuide.com has confirmed.

Braugher will still recur on the show, but in a different capacity - in the Season 2 finale, Captain Holt took a job in the NYPD's public relations department. Hader's character will be introduced in the Season 3 premiere, but it's unknown if he will make repeat appearances beyond that.

The addition of Hader to Brooklyn Nine-Nine will reunite him with his former Saturday Night Live castmate, Samberg.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine returns Sunday, Sept. 27 at 8:30/7:30c. Are you looking forward to meeting Hader's character?
