Bill Cosby's Wife Will Testify in Defamation Lawsuit

Last month, Camille Cosby's lawyers had filed a motion to block a subpoena that would require her to testify, saying she does not have any information about whether the women's claims are true and that testifying would cause her "undue burden." But the motion was thrown out by a federal judge last week and she will be deposed on Wednesday, according to the AP. The judge ruled that Massachusetts' marital disqualification does not apply in this case.

Camille and Bill Cosby have been married for more than 50 years and Camille Cosby also acts as her husband's manager and business partner. She has previously acknowledged his extramarital affairs, but has said they were all consensual.

Bill Cosby has filed a countersuit against the women, claiming they falsely accused him for financial gain. More than 50 women have come forward alleging that Cosby sexually assaulted them, and last week he was charged with aggravated indecent assault for allegedly drugging and assaulting a woman in 2004.
