The Big Brother 20 Finale Included a Very Questionable Proposal

You can't say Swaggy doesn't go for it

Big Brother 20 was definitely a season of showmances. You had Tyler and Angela, who made it 93 days in the house together; Haleigh and Fessy, who made it 72; and then you had Swaggy C and Bayleigh, who were only in the house for 23 short days together. But knowing each other less than a month didn't stop Swaggy from going big during Wednesday's finale and popping the question to Bayleigh on live TV.

After Swaggy updated Bayleigh on everything that's happened in the 76 days (!!!) since they last saw each other, including playing golf with her dad every week, he got up from his seat across the stage and walked over to Bayleigh, taking her hands.

"Remember on Day 10 I did this exact same gesture and you yelled at me because you said, 'You're not a man, take charge. If you want something, be a man and stand up.' Remember that? So I asked you to be my girlfriend and you said yeah," Swaggy recalled. "Sitting at home and watching you tell millions around the world how much you loved me and wanted to be with me forever made me realize that girlfriend wasn't enough honestly."

After that, Swaggy got down on one knee and presented Bayleigh with an engagement ring. "In front of millions around the world, I don't really care about any girl in the world. I want you and only you. And I don't really know what my future holds, but I do know I want you in it," Swaggy declared before asking Bayleigh to marry him.

She said yes, making this the second Big Brother engagement of the summer. Earlier this season, Big Brother 18's Victor and Nicole got engaged in the house (although they didn't begin their relationship until a year after Nicole won their season together). Bayleigh and Swaggy aren't even the first Big Brother finale engagement either. That dubious honor goes to Season 2's Boogie and Krista, whose relationship only lasted a few months after they exited the house.

The response to Swaggy and Bayleigh's engagement from the BB community was mixed, to say the least.

Celebrity Big Brother returns to CBS this winter.
