On the new ABC series, Garcia and Jennifer Finnigan play sisters Mia and Maddie, who couldn't be more different. While Maddie (Finnigan) and her boyfriend have been together for nine years with no plans to marry, Mia (Garcia) and her boyfriend of just a few weeks announce their engagement and her pregnancy in the premiere episode. Not only is Maddie thrown for a loop, but shocked when their parents (played by Kurt Fuller and Debra Jo Rupp) approve of the shotgun wedding.

The girls may have their differences, Garcia says, but "there's a tremendous bond between the two of them."
