BET in Negotiations to Bring Back The Game

BET is nearing a deal to get back into The Game, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The network is expected to make an announcement during its upfront this month that the CW sitcom will return with original episodes.

Exclusive: Former Game star signs on to Grey's

Most of the cast is expected to return, while Salim Akil, who was The Game'smain director, will take over for his wife, Mara Brock Akil, as the showrunner. Brock Akil will serve as executive producer, and she also serves as a consulting producer on ABC's Cougar Town.

The Game, a spinoff from Girlfriends, was canceled last May after three seasons.
