Letscher, 41, will play the recurring role of Ben, the confident and wry doctor boyfriend of Alex. However, their romance is quickly put to the test when Alex hires Pete to renovate her house. Smoove, 46, joins the cast as Clem, the electrician in Pete's oddball construction crew.

Aside from romancing Kitty Walker on Brothers & Sisters, Letscher is known for his roles on The New Adventures of Old Christine and Good Morning, Miami. Smoove has appeared on Curb Your Enthusiasm as Larry's wise-cracking roommate Leon Black since Season 6.
