Ben and Kate Taps Jane Seymour as BJ’s Mom

Only BJ could have a mother this cool!

Jane Seymour has been tapped to play the mother of Ben and Kate's fun loving BFF, TVLine.com reports. BJ's (Lucy Punch) mother Wendy is described as a pretentious Brit who will discover that her daughter has been keeping secrets from her.

Fox slashes episode order for The Goodwin Games

Seymour, well-known for playing Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman's titular character, has played quite the collection of TV and film mothers, including Wedding Crashers' Kathleen Cleary, Franklin & Bash's Colleen Bash and Smallville's Genevieve Teague.

Ben and Kate airs Tuesdays at 8:30/7:30c on Fox. Seymour's episode will air in early 2013.
