True Blood Werewolf to Guest on Beauty and the Beast

True Blood actress Kelly Overton will guest-star on an episode of Beauty and the Beast, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively.

Overton will play Claire, an intelligent and extremely athletic doctoral student who hits it off with medical examiner Evan (Max Brown) after they meet online. 

The CW series, based loosely on the 1987 CBS drama, stars Smallvillealum Kristin Kreuk as Catherine Chandler, a cop who witnessed her mother's death years prior. Turns out Cat was saved from her mother's gunmen by Vincent Keller (Jay Ryan), a doctor-turned-soldier who was transformed into a beast after a faulty military medical experiment.

Also appearing in the new CW series is Jeremy Glazer, who will play a med student named Michael whose fiancé has gone missing.

Overton most recently played the werewolf love interest to Alcide (Joe Manganiello) on True Blood, while Glazer has appeared on CSI, Bones and Castle. Both characters will be in the fourth episode, with Overton potentially recurring.

Beauty and the Beast premieres on Thursday, Oct. 11 at 9/8c on The CW.
