Debuting at No. 3 was Red Riding Hood, the modern dark take on the classic fairy tale starring Amanda Seyfried. The film took in $14.1 million.
The adult thriller The Adjustment Bureau, starring Matt Damon, came in at No. 4 with $11.5 million.
Disney had a disappointing weekend with its latest animated flick Mars Needs Mom debuting at No. 5. The big budget film only made $6.8 million.

Hall Pass came in sixth place with $5.1 million and Beastly, another updated fairy tale, was right behind it with a little under $5.1 million.
Rounding out the top 10: Just Go With It(No. 8, $4 million) The King's Speech,(No. 9, $3.6 million, bringing the Best Picture Oscar winner's 16-week total to $129 million) and Gnomeo and Juliet (No. 10, $3.5).
