Being parents to twins means double the joy and double the fun, but also double the trouble when it comes to breastfeeding for Angelina Jolie.
"It's very hard," the Changeling star said on British talk show GMTV. "You look in the books and there's this football hold and you think, 'If anybody can do that, I can do that.' And it's a lot harder than it looks in the books!"
After three months of doubling up, Jolie weaned Knox and Vivienne, now 4 months old. "It was about as much as I could do. I did that a few times. I would take turns," she said. "It just takes a long time."
Something else that takes a long time is getting the brood, which also includes Maddox, 7, Pax, who turns 5 on Nov. 29, Zahara, 3, and Shiloh, 2, ready for a family outing, according to proud pop Brad Pitt.
"It's like a half-an-hour just to get everyone buckled in and make sure they've got their snacks, and Z.Z. [Zahara] has got a blanket and Shiloh's got her silky," Pitt said on The Oprah Winfrey Show, airing Wednesday.
Perhaps prolonging the trips is Shiloh, or "John," rather. Despite her unique moniker, the tot, a Peter Pan fan, insists on being addressed by the more ordinary "John" or "Peter."
"We've got to call her John," Pitt said. "'Shi, do you want ...' — 'John. I'm John.' And then I'll say, 'John, would you like some orange juice?' And she goes, 'No!' So, you know, it's just that kind of stuff that's cute to parents, and it's probably really obnoxious to other people."
