What are they ranting about this time?
Amy Poehler and Seth Meyers have a message for people who hate women's sports: Really!?!
The former "Weekend Update" co-hosts reunited on Late Night with Seth MeyersWednesday to resurrect their incredulous segment in response to a tweet from Sports Illustrated contributor Andy Benoit about the Women's World Cup and women's sports in general.
Benoit's Sports Illustrated colleague Mark Mravic posted a video of England's winning goal against Norway on Twitter Tuesday with the caption, "And here some people (ahem, @Andy_Benoit) argue that women's soccer isn't worth watching."
Benoit's response? "Not women's soccer......women's sports in general not worth watching." (He later deleted the tweet.)

"I think a lot of people would love to watch you say that to Serena Williams," Poehler said Wednesday. "I guess I'm not surprised you work for Sports Illustrated. You guys put out a Swimsuit Issue every year dedicated entirely to women who aren't in sports... unless you think that it's a sport to cover both boobs with one arm."
Added Meyers: "If you want to attack somebody for playing soccer, how about children? Now that is boring to watch."
Benoit has since apologized, calling his comments "ignorant and extreme."
My sincere apologies for last night's senseless tweets. I got carried away responding to playful ribbing ....
.... and, in my stupidity, overcompensated by saying something ignorant and extreme. 100% mistake on my part, for which I'm deeply sorry.
