Wait, What? America's Next Top Model May Not Be Over After All

Was it cancelled for real?

America's Next Top Model might not be ready to "pack up its belongings" just yet.

Although the CW confirmed in October that the show's current, 22nd cycle would be its last, there is a possibility the show could live on elsewhere, according to Deadline.

Although its series finale will air Friday, Dec. 4 at 9/8c, a new installment is being pitched to cable and streaming outlets, with executive producer Ken Mok overseeing the process, Deadline reports.

The idea for another installment came after an outpouring of interest after the October announcement - particularly since the show does well in repeat performance on other networks including Oxygen, Bravo and VH1.

The potential reboot has the support of host Tyra Banks, and she's expected to continue her role as executive producer if the show lands a home. Her on-screen involvement isn't clear as of now, although we can't imagine another host who could rival Banks' ability to create memes, Gifs and catchprases that live on into the next century. We're all rooting for you, Tyra!
