On Friday, her parents placed the actress in an involuntary psychiatric hold after she accused her father of molestation. She later recanted her statement, claiming the microchip in her brain made her say it.
The original hold was for a minimum of 72 hours. It will be extended for 14 more days, effective Monday.

According to the hospital's website, it offers "a wide range of behavioral health care treatment options... for patients with psychiatric, chemical dependency, or co-occurring disorders."
Since her legal issues began in 2012, Bynes has been the subject of much media scrutiny. Most recently, she was arrested for DUI in Los Angeles.
