Alec Baldwin Cops Law & Order: SVU Gig

Alec Baldwin has landed a guest-starring role on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, E! Online reports.

Details on the 30 Rockalum's role are being kept under wraps, but he'll appear in an episode directed by star Mariska Hargitay.

This marks Baldwin's first scripted TV gig since 30 Rock went off the air 13 months ago. In November, Baldwin and MSNBC mutually agreed to end the actor's short-lived talk show following his alleged use of a homophobic slur.
