Two years after 30 Rock ended, Alec Baldwin will return to television for a new HBO drama. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Baldwin will star as a "billionaire real estate developer, divorced father, philanthropist, society fixture and celebrated libertine who unexpectedly becomes mayor of New York City."
Baldwin has discussed running for mayor of New York in the past. And as they say, those who can't do, pretend to do on TV, right?
The actor will executive-produce the hour-long drama with Cary Brokaw and Wells Tower, who will also write.
