He's third in line for the job, just like Melania!
When Saturday Night Live was looking to cast an actor to play Donald Trump this season, you have to imagine that the casting call sheet included "iconic hair," "audibly challenged nostrils" and "ability to artfully explode in a dramatic tantrum over the teeniest provocation." Bingo! Everybody welcome Alec Baldwin to the stage!
SNL head honcho Lorne Michaels personally selected the 30 Rock star to portray The Donald this season on the sketch show, The Hollywood Reporter says. Fans of the show will remember that the not-enviable task of being painted Cheetos orange and letting the spirit of Trump take over their bodies for the show previously belonged to Darrell Hammond and then Taran Killam, who ironically heard "You're fired!" from the show in the last round of contract non-renewals. It's probably a tough job!
Hamilton's Lin-Manuel Miranda will host Saturday Night Live
Do you think Alec Baldwin will make a good Trump?
