AFFLECK TO PLAY CINDERELLA?

Ben Affleck is in "serious negotiations" to star in the film Cinderella Man, Variety reports. The Depression-era pic tells the true story of an average Joe who turns to boxing to feed his family and, as a result, becomes a folk hero. Billy Bob Thornton is the leading candidate to direct. The trade paper also reports that Oscar nominee Helena Bonham Carter will play the ape princess in Tim Burton's upcoming remake of Planet of the Apes. She joins cast members Mark Wahlberg, Tim Roth and The Green Mile's Michael Clarke Duncan. 20th Century Fox is hoping to have the film ready for release next summer.
