Felicityalum Scott Speedman will star opposite Andre Braugher in ABC's drama pilot from Shawn Ryan.
In Last Resort, a renegade crew of a nuclear submarine, lead by Men of a Certain Age's Braugher, go on the run after defying an order to fire nuclear missiles. They find sanctuary at a NATO base where they declare themselves the world's smallest nuclear nation. Speedman will play XO Sam Kendal, the second-in-command of the U.S.S. Nevada, who is moral and sees all sides of the confrontation.
Also cast in the pilot is Camille de Pazzis, who will portray Sophie, an empathetic European scientist in charge of the NATO listening station that the U.S.S. Nevada commandeers. As previously announced, Autumn Reeser, Daisy Betts, and Dan Lissing will also star.
The Shield's Ryan will executive-produce the pilot, which he wrote with Karl Gajdusek (Dead Like Me).
