ABC Picks Up Two Comedy Pilots

ABC has ordered two new comedy pilots, the network announced Friday.

Man Up takes a look what it takes to survive as a modern man, as told through the eyes of three best friends and the women in their lives. Chris Moynihan (A Mighty Wind), Ron West (Backdraft) and Kelly Kulchak (Psych) will executive produce.

Smothered centers on a young couple that is constantly dealing with their two sets of parents. The pilot comes from Friendswriters Andrew Reich and Ted Cohen, who based it on their real life experiences.
