Ten years after their married life, Dr, Shakibeh Moayed, an experienced and skilled obstetrician, and her husband, a textile designer, are deprived of the joy of having children. As a last resort to save their marriage, Dr. Moayed adopts and orphan girl, but her husband finds it impossible to accept the as a member of his family. The girl is sent back to the orphanage and is subsequently adopted by a well-to-do lady, while Dr. Moayed's marriage is on the verge of disruption.
