Everyone knows that to see the bride in her wedding dress before the big day is a bad omen. A girl from a small village Olesya and her fiance win a TV contest as the most beautiful couple and receive a gorgeous white dress as a present. Naturally the bride can't resist the temptation to put it on in front of the cameras. She doesn't suspect that it will ruin all her plans. Having left for work in the city, Olesya's fiance returns as a husband of another woman, and Olesya is left heartbroken. However a handsome Moscow businessman Valery with a small daughter arrives in the village. They hire Olesya as a nanny for the girl. And everything would be fine, but soon gossip begins to crawl around the village - Wishing to protect Olesya from the ridicule and to keep the nanny, Valery nobly offers her a formal marriage - 'a stamp in the passport and no white dress'.
