Depicting an emotionnally loaded exchange between two strangers who wake up together, Where are they Now? is also a film with a strong sense of place - specifically those smaller cities where time seems to work slower and where potent secrets can brew. The film is stitched together by music: alternative music scenes, local heroes, high excitement and the long aftermath, when the bravado of youth starts to fade.
