El último adiós de Bette Davis

"Bette Davis' Last Farewell" is a documentary that reconstructs Bette Davis' visit to the San Sebastian Film Festival where she was awarded the Donostia prize in 1989. She spent six days in her room planning her public appearances down to the very last detail: the award ceremony, an unforgettable press conference....When the festival finished, she decided to stay a few extra days, but it wasn't long before she started to feel unwell. She was flown to the American Hospital in Paris, where she died a few days later What nobody could have imagined beforehand was that the San Sebastian Film Festival would turn out to be the final performance of one of the greatest stars from Hollywood's golden era. "Bette Davis' Last Farewell" brings together eyewitness accounts from journalists, photographers, and members of the organization who worked on the San Sebastian Film Festival that year. The film features a special contribution from Kathryn Sermak, the personal assistant who accompanied the actress on the visit, and on whom the actress relied in the final stages of her life.
