Weibe Reise is an experimental, poetic film that imagines the adventures and erotic experiences of two sailors as they travel through the world's seaports. Originally conceived as a grander story of sailors' lives and loves, the project was realized with minimal resources shot in a studio with painted backdrops rather than on location. The narrative unfolds in a dreamlike way, blending romance, desire, and adventure with stylized imagery and voice over narration, creating a blend of adventure film, home movie, and Brechtian drama where real emotions mix with artifice, laughter, and melancholy.
