Jacob, a 17-year-old high school student, and George, a middle-aged cop, both wish to either escape or further submerge themselves in their respective comfort zones. Through a series of explosive events that force each of them to reconsider their outlook and overall desires, Jacob and George's lives converge at a local pizza shop where they must reconcile the past with the present, the good with the bad, and the transience of happiness with their own immutable stagnation in society.
