Mont Ventoux. The Bald Mountain. The Giant of Provence. Cycling's most famous mountain has been the scene of countless iconic moments in the sport and, at the 2021 Tour de France, it will be tackled not once, but twice in the same day. A true test for professional and amateur cyclists alike, we wanted to learn more about this historic mountain, and find out what makes it so awe-inspiring, challenging, and unforgiving. Despite being French ex professional cyclists, Florian Chabbal and Loïc Chetout have never cycled up Ventoux. So, we set them the challenge of joining the infamous 'Club des Cinglés': completing not just one, not two, but three ascents of the mountain in a single day. Faced with over 4000m of climbing, descending in torrential rain, and even snow at the summit - Florian and Loïc were at the mercy of Ventoux as they attempted to complete this fierce challenge.
