The Tepes family have decided to move from Transylvania to Germany. For their two 12-year-old daughters this represents quite a change, as they now have to get used to going to a human school. The ensuing culture clash creates some trouble, and there is some bullying - but one of the sisters, Silvania, also experiences her first crush. Silvania adapts far better to her new environment and enjoys the human world, whereas her sister Dakaria would really prefer a vampire life-style. This children's film's rather generic layout is completed by a goofy neighbour who tries his hand at vampire hunting.
