In the old west, there is a moral standoff in a small town between the town's puritanical women and the two prostitutes, Alice and Nora. While most of the men in town have used Alice and Nora's services, Sheriff Cleetus is forced to run Alice and Nora out of town after an incident, albeit providing them with supplies to allow them to survive. While Nora is content to continue whoring wherever they end up, Alice, who was dismayed to learn that married Orin Lankford was not planing to leave his wife for her, still sees a different life for herself, she planning on heading to Virginia City to open a restaurant. Riding through the desert, they discover an unconscious man injured by a gunshot wound. Helping him, they find out that he is Eldon Gallup, a bounty hunter who was probably shot by who he was tracking, an outlaw named Gilah Grimes. As Eldon is still nursing his wound, Alice and Nora offer him a deal: their help in tracking Grimes in return for a cut of the bounty, the deal which Eldon feels forced to accept. As Alice, Nora and Eldon try to find a harmonious relationship with each other in their common goal, they have to deal with other dangers if they don't encounter Grimes first, which can only end with one side or the other in a coffin.
